Frequently asked
Will my photo be accepted?
We frame your photo to the official size and head-height rules for your document, set the required background colour, and check focus, lighting, expression and glasses on your device before you pay. Acceptance is always at the authority’s discretion — so if your photo is rejected, we’ll give you a free retake.
Which background colour will my photo have?
The one your document requires. UK passport and driving licence photos use plain light grey (GOV.UK asks for cream or light grey, not white); most visas use white. You’ll see a preview before paying.
Can I wear glasses or a head covering?
Please remove glasses — most documents no longer accept them. Head coverings worn for religious or medical reasons are allowed as long as your whole face is visible; just tick that option before taking your photo.
How do I get my prints?
Your 6-digit print code is emailed to you as soon as you pay. Enter it at the photo kiosk within 72 hours and your 4 prints come out on 6×4″ photo paper (one sheet for most sizes; two for 2×2″ and 50×70 mm photos). You can check the status and resend the code from Track your order.
What happens to my photo and data?
Your photo is encrypted in transit and at rest, used only to produce your order, and deleted automatically once printed or after 72 hours. We keep order records (name, email, amount) for 7 years for tax purposes. See our privacy policy.
What is the expert check?
An optional add-on: a trained specialist reviews your photo against the official rules before it can be printed. If anything’s wrong, we send you a free retake link straight away.
